Introduction to the ART of Barrel Racing is a 1 Day Clinic designed to introduce the Approach, Rate and Turn concepts of the Sport of Barrel Racing in order to help the rider produce efficient and consistent barrel racing performance.
Barrel Racing/Horsemanship techniques will be introduced, along with training and competition equipment options depending on the skill level of the rider. Each rider will make two timed runs which will be videoed and evaluated in order to establish performance outcomes.
June 1 - One Day Clinic - 8am-4pm
8:00 AM – Registration: Warm up for Introduction Barrel Run
8:30 AM – Introduction Run: “Plan the Run and Run the Plan”
9:30 AM – Demo & Student Application: Introduction to the ART of Barrel Racing; Approach, Rate and Turn
11:30 AM – Video Review: Identifying Performance Outcomes; Introduction to Training and Competition Equipment opportunities.
1:00 PM – Demo & Student Application: Body position and horsemanship technique for Better Barrel Racing.
3:30 PM – Fast Run: Applying the ART of Barrel Racing
4:00 PM – Video Review: Closing Remarks, Award Presentation.
