General Information
Arc Opportunities, Inc, formerly known as the ''School of Opportunity'' first opened in 1966. The mission of Arc is to protect and support individuals with disabilities and to develop their potential within our unique community.
At that time, the agency served only school-aged children and began with 16 students, with a budget of thirteen thousand dollars. Today the agency provides services to more than 500 individuals who participate in a wide array of services.
The annual budget has grown to approximately 1.5 million dollars. The primary focus for Arc Opportunities, as a private, not-for-profit organization, has always been to meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities and their families who reside in LaGrange County.
Arc Opportunities is accredited by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF), as well as a member of the National Arc, The Arc of Indiana, the Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, and the Indiana Association of Persons in Supported Employment.
