Our History -
Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW) was established during the 2009 Indiana legislative session by a group of concerned, dedicated citizens who love their animals and felt strongly that their rights to own and control them were dangerously being threatened.
The ICAW represents a wide range of individuals who are passionate about their animals and believe strongly in protecting their rights concerning them.
Our mission is to protect and preserve the animals of Indiana and safeguard the rights of responsible animal owners and professionals through education and sound legislative actions.
Our Calling -
Animal Rights organizations are increasingly impacting the animal world. They are not only threatening the agriculture industry as a whole, but they are also threatening the right to own animals in general. The Animal Rights activists feel that we, the American public, are not good enough to own or use animals. These groups work around the clock to eliminate:
- Animal Farming
- Meat and dairy consumption
- The use of animals in research
- Hunting
- Circuses
- Zoos
- Owning any animal as a family pet
ICAW has been established to protect the rights of animal owners in Indiana and ensure the welfare of all animals.
